At 1:44 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26th the Easton Police received a 911 call from a cell phone from a woman located somewhere on the trails in Trout Brook Valley. She explained she had broken her ankle while walking her dogs, but did not know her exact location on the trail system. Using the enhanced 911 system and global positioning system (GPS) Easton Emergency Medical System EMT's Peter, Josh, Stephen, Andrew and Max along with officers from the Easton Police Department and staff from Easton's Volunteer Fire Department were able to quickly locate the woman. The use of the EMS rescue terrain vehicle allowed for quick and easy removal from the woods with out causing further injury. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Her condition was not considered life threatening.
